Type: Performance
The term "performance" refers to the public presentation of a play, film, or musical composition. Ashbery may be the creator of the work performed, an actor in it, a character in it, or an influence on it. Performances may be documented either by audio or video recordings of the event or by programs, listings, or reviews. Performance does not include interviews, even those given in front of an audience or broadcast on radio or television (see the category "interview"), nor does it include public readings or lectures (see the category "reading"). Performances will always be double-categorized by type: either as play, film, or music.
