Type: Edited/selected by Ashbery

The term "edited/selected by Ashbery" refers to situations in which Ashbery either held a regular editorial position on an ongoing basis, or for which he chose, on an occasional basis, certain texts to be published.

Edited/selected by Ashbery includes publications for which Ashbery worked as poetry editor or executive editor, but excludes publications in which Ashbery is listed as an associate editor, contributing editor or member of the board of directors or advisors, none of which titles generally indicate an active editorial position.

Edited/selected by Ashbery indicates a formal role. For more informal selections, such as Ashbery's "Favorite Book of the Century" or "Current Bedtime Reading," see the category "miscellaneous published remark." For situations in which Ashbery served as a judge, juror or nominator, see the category "competition judged by Ashbery."

In citations classified as "edited/selected by Ashbery," Ashbery will be listed in the author/editor field, and the people selected by him will be listed in the author field.
