Format: Broadside

Broadsides are single sheets of unfolded paper usually printed only on one side. The texts of most broadsides in the ARC archive are poems by Ashbery. They are frequently published in conjunction with a reading or the publication of a new poetry collection.

Neither a sheet published as part of a larger venture (for example, as part of a boxed portfolio of unbound sheets), a single sheet printed on both sides, nor a single sheet folded to make a four-page brochure are usually considered broadsides. These items will be classified as miscellaneous, and their format will be clarified in the notes field.
