The instruction manual:

Bibliographic code: Section N2

Section N2 includes publications that contain miscellaneous biographical information about Ashbery's activities, personal life, family history, etc., such as chronologies of events from his childhood to the present, anecdotes about particular events in his life or recollections of his acquaintances, and items that simply establish Ashbery in a certain location or situation at a particular time.

Usually, only the first publication of Section N2 items, whether in books or periodicals, is given a complete citation. All known reprints usually are mentioned in the notes field of the citation.
